My company recently became part of a union, so that meant that I had to keep perfect records of time and attendance in case there were any labor complaints. Sure enough, an employee filed a complaint and said that she hadn’t been paid correctly. When we pulled the record from the employee time tracking software, the numbers were there for all to see, and she was in the wrong. Instances like that are one of the reasons why I switched over to an automated system, and it leaves no choice but to help keep people honest about actual hours worked. This is a fantastic way to keep track of employee hours!
