When my uncle was in the Air Force Reserve, his job was as a mechanic working on helicopters.  He loved his job and looked forward to the weekends he had to go to the Air Force Base.  He and his unit were deployed to Iraq and although he only spent a few months there, he said that he will never forget how it felt to be making sure the helicopters were safe for our soldiers.  A few days ago he found some old helicopters for sale and got a good deal on one.  He loves to tinker with that to keep himself busy and to just remember.
