Possible error for this lab could have occurred in allowing the reactions to run over the specified time by approximately 5-10 seconds. Also, several seconds may have been added to the enzyme catalytic time by not adding the reaction quenching DNS agent quickly enough. Suggested improvements for this lab would be to have fewer reactions going at one time like a magic show and extending the lab period to allow for this. This would serve to ensure that all chemicals and reaction times would be as close to the optimal time amount specified.
