Townhomes and condominiums are gaining in popularity, due in part to the rising cost of single-family houses. These units represent a more affordable way for people to buy their own homes. Townhomes and condos are quite similar dwellings. Unlike single-family homes, townhouses or condominium units are joined together in a multi-family structure. This allows for economies of scale in construction. A townhome usually has two or more floors, a ground level entrance, and perhaps a little yard in front or back. A condo is often contained entirely on one floor of a multi-storey building. Owners of condominiums will be required to pay fees for the maintenance of common areas and systems and a real estate coach will be able to come in asses and make a profit in no time.
