It’s Murphy’s Law if something can go wrong, it will. Last summer, we started to notice little piles of sawdust-like material around the front porch and back deck, and a little investigation revealed that termites had invaded our home. Fortunately, mostly in the exterior pieces of wood and just one small corner of the crawlspace, but that’s little comfort when paying the $1,000-plus bill for the pest control company to come and spray insecticide. The man assured us that he had taken care of the problem, but yesterday I went out to move some of our wood patio furniture, and guess what I saw that’s right, termites. They were eating away at the seats. Time to call the exterminator again, I guess.
